What data syncs to QuickBooks Online?
Vendors, sales transactions (with sales, taxes, COGS, and inventory broken out by category), payments and clearing accounts, inventory adjustments, transfers between locations, and purchase orders that flow through to bills on receipt. See the full breakdown in the sync section above.
Do you sync data out of QuickBooks into Cova?
No. TendTech Connect only writes from Cova into QuickBooks. Nothing flows the other way, so your QuickBooks data stays exactly as you and your bookkeeper manage it.
How often do you sync data?
Sales data syncs once per day at a time you choose. We recommend after close of business during non-operating hours. Purchase orders sync in real time as they’re created or received in Cova.
Can I select which sync features are active?
Yes. You have full control over which sync features are enabled or disabled at any time, so you can roll things out at your own pace.
Is TendTech Connect a certified QuickBooks partner?
Yes. We’re a certified Intuit partner and a certified Cova partner, and you can find TendTech Connect in the QuickBooks app store.
Which version of QuickBooks do you support?
TendTech Connect supports QuickBooks Online. Consolidated multi-location setups require QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced because they rely on QBO’s native Locations functionality.
How long does setup take?
Most customers are live within minutes of connecting their accounts. Our team helps you validate the initial sync before going live, and onboarding is included in your plan.
Can you backfill historical data?
Yes. Whether you’re migrating from another integration or starting fresh in QuickBooks, we can backfill historical transactions cleanly into your QBO instance.
Does TendTech Connect change anything in my chart of accounts?
We work within your existing chart of accounts and standard QuickBooks structures, keeping your books tidy and easy to reconcile. Your bookkeeper continues working with QuickBooks the way they always have.
Can I give my bookkeeper access to TendTech Connect?
Yes. TendTech Connect is designed to be set-it-and-forget-it, but you can easily invite your bookkeeper or accountant and grant them access to assist you whenever needed.

How do you protect my data?
All data is encrypted both in transit and at rest within our system, so only you have access to it.

Yes. Every sync event in TendTech Connect links directly to the resulting journal entry, bill, or PO in QuickBooks. If something ever looks off, you can trace it back in seconds.
What happens if a sync fails?
Every sync attempt is logged in your TendTech Connect dashboard. Failures are flagged with the reason, and you can retry, investigate, or contact support directly from the sync log.
